Compassionate Urology Care in Central Illinois
For over 50 years, our board-certified urologists have provided comprehensive, patient-centered urologic care to families across Central Illinois. From advanced robotic surgery to pediatric urology, we are here for you.

Why Are Wait Times Longer Than Usual?
Like many communities across the country, Central Illinois is experiencing a shortage of practicing urologists. As a result, the demand for urologic care continues to exceed the number of available specialists.
Our physicians and staff are committed to providing thorough, personalized, and high-quality care to every patient. Some visits require additional time due to complex medical conditions, cancer diagnoses, urgent issues, or unexpected clinical needs. While this can occasionally lead to delays, it allows us to give each patient the attention they deserve.
We understand that your time is valuable and sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding. Our team is continually working to improve access to care, expand scheduling availability, and minimize wait times whenever possible.
Thank you for trusting us with your urologic care.

What Our Patients Are Saying
Dr. Catarinicchia is an amazing doctor. He is very kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. With me he always answers my many questions in a manner that I can understand. The nurses and staff have been great to work with. I had a surgery and am taking treatmentments for bladder cancer. Though the situation isn't ideal, I'm thankful that I have these professionals by my side getting me through it.
- Don M.
Dr. Chalian is great doctor and surgeon so he gets a 5. His staff is a 0 had appt. for 2:00 receptionist said 2:30 arrived at 1:45. checked with receptionist said she scheduled 3 for 2:30, so even though my husband just had surgery and we arrrived much earlier than the other two, you got it, he was put 3rd. He was so uncomfortable, I asked for the pathology report and left. We still had a 50 minute drive back home. I would think such a wonderful doctor would make sure he had a staff that shared the same proffessionalism.
- RUTH P.
After reading the comments, I felt it was necessary to post. My experience with Dr. Chalian was very positive, from the initial consultation to the procedure. I scheduled almost a year out and he was transparent that there was a slim chance that he would need to reschedule in case of family vacation plans which I totally get given how far out I requested. Ultimately I didn’t need to reschedule, the procedure took 15 minutes tops and he and his nurse made the whole process very comfortable. As long as you don’t mind a few urology jokes, I’d highly recommend Dr. Leak.
- ALEX C.
Getting them on the phone is a little tough, but I came in for some pre-op testing and the NP looked at my records, asked me some questions and declined to do extra testing because I didn't need it. The NP could have me do it and made extra money off me, but I didn't need the test so they didn't. Honesty is hard to find.
- Stephen H.
Dr Sal and his nurse Stephanie have made this whole situation I’m goin through easy and painless. Much love and respect to them for having my back 🦾 …
- Jimmy R.
My visit was as a new patient. Everyone was very kind. I really enjoyed my FNP, ANASTASIA, She was very knowledgeable and thorough. Enjoyed the nurse. She was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. The wait was a little long, but I expected that as a first time patient.
